Astor Group’s Latvian subsidiary Ammunity strengthens regional defence industry cooperation through a letter of intent with Polish defence company Mesko.

Ammunity, Astor Group’s Latvian ammunition manufacturer, has recently signed a letter of intent with Polish defence company Mesko to explore opportunities for future cooperation within ammunition production and supply.

For Ammunity, the letter of intent represents an opportunity to explore cooperation with one of the largest defence manufacturers in Central and Eastern Europe. By combining Ammunity’s growing production platform in Latvia with Mesko’s extensive industrial capabilities and market position, the parties aim to identify areas where collaboration can strengthen both companies and contribute to a more resilient regional supply chain.

Mesko is one of Poland’s leading defence companies and forms part of Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ), the state-owned defence group that brings together a large number of strategic defence and security companies across Poland.

The agreement represents an important step for Ammunity as the company continues to expand its network of industrial partnerships across Europe.

“The defence industry is currently of strategic importance, and close cooperation between companies in the region is essential to strengthen security of supply, production capacity and long-term resilience. Mesko is a highly respected and established player in the European defence industry, and through this cooperation we intend to explore how our respective capabilities can complement each other, create new opportunities for growth and contribute to a stronger regional ammunition supply chain,” said Kaspars Pollaks, CEO of Ammunity.
