Sustainability

Empowering a Resilient Future

At Scandinavian Astor Group, we believe that freedom and safety depend not just on those who defend them, but on those who build the foundations for them. As a technology-driven defense and security group, our mission is to combine technical innovation with ethical business practices. We are dedicated to integrating corporate social responsibility (CSR) across our entire value chain, contributing to national and international security without compromising our environmental and social objectives.

Our Strategic Framework

Guided by Global Standards

Our sustainability journey is structured and transparent. We adhere to the SS-EN ISO 26000:2025 guidelines, which provide the framework for our social responsibility and our contribution to sustainable development. To ensure high quality and environmental standards, several of our subsidiaries operate with recognized management systems, including:

  • ISO 9001 for Quality Management.
  • ISO 14001 for Environmental Management.
  • ISO 45001
  • Ongoing implementation of ISO 27001 for Information Security to protect sensitive data and ensure business continuity.

The Four Pillars of Our Responsibility

1. Organizational Governance & Ethics
We apply a zero-tolerance policy toward corruption. Our governance is built on accountability and transparency, ensuring that ethical behavior is integrated into every decision. Read our code of conduct here.  To maintain the trust of our stakeholders, we encourage a culture of openness. We have implemented a Whistleblower Policy and a dedicated function to ensure that any irregularities or deviations from our Code of Conduct can be reported safely and anonymously. Read more about our whistle blower system here.

2. Environmental Responsibility
We work systematically to increase resource efficiency and reduce our environmental footprint throughout the product lifecycle. We also have a group wide car policy which outlines that all company cars are to be electric.

3. Human Rights & Labor Practices
Our employees are our most valuable asset. We foster an inclusive, safe, and healthy work environment where equality is paramount.

4. Fair Operating Practices & Society
We take full responsibility for our products, focusing on safety and responsible communication. By delivering advanced solutions for defense and security, we contribute to a stable and resilient society.

UN’s global goals for sustainable development

Our prioritized sustainability goals

Astor Group’s sustainability work is based on a double materiality analysis, integrated into the Group’s business strategy and in line with CSRD/ESRS. The analysis identifies the sustainability issues where Astor Group has the greatest impact, risk, and business significance, and forms the basis for the Group’s long-term value creation.

Four areas have been identified as doubly material and are directly linked to the UN’s global goals:

  • Product safety and risks in the value chain (ESRS S4): Linked to Goal 3: Good Health and
Well-being (target 3.9) and Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production (target 12.4)
  • Access to products and services (ESRS S4): Linked to Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities (target 11.1) and Goals 1, 6 and 7 regarding access to basic infrastructure and service
  • Responsible marketing (ESRS S4): Linked to Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and
Production through focus on factual information (target 12.6) and to Goals 5 and 8.
  • Corporate culture and ethics (ESRS G1): Linked to Goal 16: Peaceful and Inclusive Societies through focus on anti-corruption and strong institutions (target 16.5)

These areas correspond to the global goals where Astor Group has the greatest impact and responsibility, and are therefore prioritized in governance, monitoring, and reporting.

Other identified material goals

In addition to the prioritized areas, Astor Group actively contributes to the following goals through its operations and strategic plan for 2026:

  • Goal 13: Climate Action: Through work on climate-related mitigation (ESRS E1) and reduced climate impact.
  • Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth: Through focus on employee safety, flexibility (ESRS S1) and the Group’s growth objectives.
  • Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities: By improving internal HR processes to address low gender equality and promote diversity.

In summary, Astor Group has chosen to focus its reporting and activities on the goals where it has the greatest impact and where the risks are most significant: Goals 3, 8, 11, 12, 13 and 16.

Third party verified – ISO 26000

ISO 26000 provides clear guidance for companies to integrate social responsibility into their operations. It addresses both the economicsocial, and environmental dimensions that together form the backbone of sustainability.

A framework for credibility and action

The comprehensive framework of the standard strengthens how we address all aspects of social responsibility, both internally and across our value chain. The third-party verification reinforces transparency, and ensures our sustainability efforts are credible and measurable.

By adopting ISO 26000, we’re backing our actions with independent validation, strengthening relationships with stakeholders, and maintaining a competitive edge through credible, transparent efforts. Read our management statement according to ISO26000 here.

“The responsibility of an organization for the impacts of its decisions and activities on society and the environment, through transparent and ethical behavior.”
